1. Who this covers

This policy applies to the Indirimbo Zikundwa mobile/web application (the “app”) and to this website. The app is an independent, free hymnal reader.

2. Information we collect

None. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not collect your name, email, contacts, location or any other personal information, and we do not include any analytics, advertising or tracking software in the app.

3. Data stored on your device

To make the app useful, a few things are saved locally on your own device only:

This information never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed when you uninstall the app.

4. Works offline by design

All 5,495 hymns are bundled inside the app as a local file. Reading and searching require no internet connection and make no network requests.

5. “Sing together” (live share)

The optional live-share feature works only over your local Wi-Fi / network. When you host or join a session, devices exchange a small amount of information directly with each other — the current song, the scroll position, and song “likes”. This data is shared device-to-device on your local network; it is not routed through, or stored on, any server of ours. No name, email or personal account is required to take part.

6. This website

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may automatically record standard technical request data (such as your IP address and browser type) in its server logs, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. We do not control or receive those logs.

The “Get the app” download buttons make a single request to GitHub’s public Releases API when the page loads, in order to find the latest build files. That request goes to GitHub and is governed by GitHub’s policies; it sends no personal information about you. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

7. Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

8. Third-party links

The app and site may link to external resources such as GitHub. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app or site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
